Wayne G. Failor Scholarship

Funded by Wayne G. Failor, this scholarship provides funding to help cover the cost of a Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education student participating in the summer internship program offered by The Washington Center in Washington, D.C. A graduate of Shippensburg University, Mr. Failor served as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration for the PA State System of Higher Education from 1983 to his retirement in 1997. He currently serves on the State System Foundation’s Board of Directors. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Full-time student at Shippensburg University who is accepted into The Washington Center’s 2017 summer internship program. 

Student Requirements

  • There is no application for this scholarship. The recipient will be selected by the State System Foundation’s Scholarship Committee on recommendation of The Washington Center. The student selected to receive this award will be notified by The Washington Center. 

Number of Awards and Amount

  • One (1) $1,000 scholarship is available for the 2017 summer internship program. This is an annual award and, as such, shall remain commensurate with funding.
